New Book By Our Subscriber, Adam Rothstein!

Growing the Game: Baseball’s Popularity, History, Rules And How To Grow Baseball

I’ve got good news!

As I mentioned many times, we’re always happy to “plug” books written by our subscribers and/or contributors. So today, I’m happy to announce that one of our subscribers, Adam Rothstein, has just published a new book. It has the catchy title: Growing the Game: Baseball’s Popularity, History, Rules And How To Grow Baseball.

From what I can gather, it sounds like it’s right up our alley. I’m talking about those of us who love baseball history. And that, I can safely say, means all of us! The beautiful featured pic above is what Adam has selected for the cover art.

I asked Adam to give me a short description of the book and here’s what he sent me:

“If you are interested in baseball in any way, you’ll enjoy this short book. If you are a newcomer to the sport, you’ll also learn a little something about America’s national pastime. In this book, Adam Rothstein gives you facts, the history of the game, his opinions on how things should be, and what makes the most sense to grow the game. From the origins of baseball to the rules, and from social media’s role to what you can do to grow the game, you will enjoy this short sportsbook. Two of the best sections of the book include the ‘International leagues’ sections and the 15 most memorable moments of the past 30 years.”

The book is available in audiobook, e-book, and paperback formats. I’ll be featuring it in the sidebar on the right. You can click on the image to get a look at the book on Amazon.

If you’re looking for a good baseball book to read this summer, I hope you’ll consider reading Adam’s book. I know that’s what I’ll be doing. I plan on doing a detailed review shortly.  As always, we wish Adam a lot of luck with the new book!

I'm a baseball historian who also enjoys writing. My forte is identifying ballplayers in old photos, and my special interest is the Dead Ball Era.
