On Honus Wagner Day the Flying Dutchman tips his hat in appreciation as the Brooklyn crowd reciprocates. The Dodgers held a special day for the now Pittsburgh Pirates coach and beloved legend player. It was Wagner’s first year as a Pirates assistant coach, a position he would hold until 1951 when he retired from baseball for good at the age of 77.
